จากผู้อำนวยการสร้าง ริดลี่ย์ สก็อตต์ และผู้กำกับ ซัล บัทมังกลิจ สู่ภาพยนตร์ทริลเลอร์เซ็กซี่ลุ้นระทึกที่มาพร้อมดารามากฝีมืออย่าง อเล็กซานเดอร์ สการ์สการ์ด และนักแสดงชิงออสการ์ เอลเลน เพจ เมื่อซาร่าห์ มอส (บริท มาร์ลิ่ง) ถูกว่าจ้างจากหน่วยงานสายลับเอกชนให้ทำภารกิจอันตรายด้วยการแทรกซึมเข้าไปอยู่ในกลุ่มนักกิจกรรมหัวรุนแรงที่ดำเนินยุทธวิธีแบบกองโจรโดยใช้ชื่อว่า "เดอะ อีสต์" โดยซาร่าห์ต้องกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกลุ่มผู้ก่อการร้าย ที่ดูเหมือนจะรอดพ้นความผิดในการโจมตีทำร้ายเพื่อนมนุษย์ด้วยกัน แต่เมื่อการเคลื่อนไหวของเดอะ อีสต์ ยิ่งบานปลายมากขึ้นเท่าไหร่ ชีวิตของซาร่าห์ก็ตกอยู่ในอันตรายมากขึ้นเท่านั้น
